1 Timothy 4:8-10
"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe."
Physical training is good, but spiritual training has immeasurable value. It's the only training that can create real life change. Being in shape helps us to be more effective in pursuing our purpose, helping others and following God's will, but the only training that actually matters in the scope of eternity is our spiritual training. It is the only training that will fulfill our hearts and souls and will allow us to pour truth and life into others.
How is your spiritual training going? Let's start treating the Bible and our relationship with God like our workout routines. Create time for God with no distractions and be intentional about getting close to him. Give him all of your attention, show up ready to accept his word, and sit in his presence ready to listen and work for what he wants for you.
Apply the same focus and dedication that gives you physical results to your spiritual training.
Praying for spiritual gains for you as you take this next step.
